1.Can the SD1 dive beacon float and effectively locate divers?
SD1 is made of AL6063 aviation aluminum, so it cannot float on its own. Attaching SD1 to a D-ring and shortening the lanyard can prevent the issue of the dive beacon easily hiding behind diver’s thigh or tank, thus effectively locating the diver.
2.What is the approximate underwater visibility range?
The underwater visibility range of SD1 is approximately 12 meters, depending on the underwater environment and water quality.
3.Can CR123 rechargeable batteries be used in XTAR SD1?
If rechargeable batteries are used, they must have a protection circuit. If non-protected batteries are used, they must have a voltage of >3.6V.
4.Why does green appear brighter than other colors to the naked eye under the same light intensity?
When diving underwater, the fact that green light appears brighter to the naked eye is related to the absorption characteristics of water. This is because water has different absorption capabilities for different colors of light. Water molecules have a stronger absorption capability for red and blue light, while their absorption capability for green light is relatively weaker.
