Q1: Can the PB2SL V2 be used with any adapter and USB cable?

To achieve dual-slot fast charging (2A x 2), the PB2SL V2 must be used with both a adapter and USB cable that support more than 18W output.

When paired with a standard 5V 2A adapter or a low-quality cable, the charging current will be lower accordingly.

Q2: What batteries are recommended for enabling fast charging output in the PB2SL V2?

It is recommended to use two batteries of the same model and capacity, each capable of sustaining a continuous discharge current of at least 7A. 21700 batteries are preferred.

Note: For batteries with a continuous discharge current below 7A, low battery levels may trigger early protection and cause increased heat generation, which can shorten the lifespan of both the batteries and the charger.

During low-voltage direct charging output, the PB2SL V2 can deliver up to 15W with a single battery. However, if the battery’s performance is poor, it may overheat, trigger protection, and damage the negative spring. For better performance and safety, using dual-battery output is ideal.

Q3: Can batteries with different capacities be used in the PB2SL V2? What happens during charging and discharging if mismatched batteries are used?

Yes, batteries with different capacities can be used. However, for optimal performance as a power bank, using two batteries of the same capacity is recommended.

During charging, differing capacities have no impact. The lower-voltage battery will be charged first. Once voltages are balanced, the charger will initiate fast charging input based on the adapter’s power.  

During discharge, the battery with the higher voltage discharges first, without enabling fast charging output. After the higher-capacity battery is used up and only one battery is left, the device automatically stops fast charging output. In this case, the PB2SL V2 may continue supplying up to 15W via low-voltage direct charging output. However, if the remaining battery cannot sustain a 7A discharge, the protection mechanism may be triggered, shutting down output to prevent damage.

Q4: Can batteries with different voltage levels be used in the PB2SL V2? What happens during charging or discharging if mismatched batteries are used?

Yes, the PB2SL V2 is designed to safely handle batteries with different voltage levels.

During charging, the lower-voltage cell will be charged first until both batteries are balanced.

During discharging, the higher-voltage cell will be discharged first. Once the voltages are balanced, fast charging output will be enabled.

Q5: Can 18650 and 21700 batteries be used together in the PB2SL V2?

Yes, 18650 and 21700 batteries can be used together. Charging works fine, but discharging main depends on capacity, voltage, internal resistance, and protection thresholds, as explained in Q3 and Q4.

Q6: Does the PB2SL V2 have reverse polarity protection?

Yes, the PB2SL V2 is equipped with reverse polarity protection. Incorrect installation of one or both batteries will not cause damage to the batteries or the charger.

Q7: Can the USB-A and USB-C ports on the PB2SL V2 deliver fast charging simultaneously?

The USB-A and USB-C ports can output simultaneously. However, when both ports are in use, the output is limited to a fixed 5V, and fast charging is not supported. The total output power is capped at 18W and dynamically shared between the two ports. To achieve 18W or 22.5W fast charging, use only one port.

Q8: Are the USB-A and USB-C outputs on the PB2SL V2 independent?

No, the outputs are not independent. See Q7 for details on output behavior and power distribution.

Q9: When both USB-A and USB-C ports are used, how to check the output parameters of OUT1 and OUT2?

During discharging, the display shows only the total output voltage, current, and remaining battery power. Individual output data for each port is not available.

Q10: Can I charge a device via USB-A port while charging batteries via USB-C port?

Yes. The PB2SL V2 features intelligent power management that prioritizes charging external devices through the USB-A port at a standard 5V output (fast charging not supported). If the adapter has enough power, it will also charge the batteries simultaneously.

Q11: Can the PB2SL V2 charge both a smartphone and Bluetooth earphones simultaneously in low-current mode?

Yes, when low-current mode is activated, both devices will be charged in this mode.
